The UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has never been so clear: CO2 emissions must go down quickly. More production and use of renewable energy is an important part of the solution.

TrønderEnergi is already a major player in water and wind power - now we will do even more in wind.

TrønderEnergi strives to create value through environmentally friendly production and distribution of energy for the benefit of the local region. The Group generates annual sales of approximately NOK 1.5 billion and employs around 20 staff. TrønderEnergi is organised as a group where TrønderEnergi AS is the parent company of a number of subsidiaries.

The main focus of the Group is renewable energy production and energy relateded business. TrønderEnergi is owned by 19 municipalities in Trøndelag county and KLP (Kommunal Landspensjonskasse mutual insurance company).

Production

TrønderEnergi Kraft AS is responsible for power generation and produces around 2,6 TWh each year.

The company is also responsible for our power trading and innovation in renewable energy. Through Market's activities we will position ourselves to exploit the opportunities and challenges of new renewable technology, new business models and new market models for the power industry.

Grid

TrønderEnergi has contributed to establish Norways second largest grid company.
Tensio AS is the holding company of Tensio Trøndelag Sør AS (former TrønderEnergi Nett AS) and Tensio Trøndelag Nord AS (former NTE Nett AS).
